GoKwik Raises $13M to Turn More Browsers into Buyers

If you’ve ever abandoned an online shopping cart mid-purchase, you’re not alone. It’s a massive $18 billion problem for online retailers.

Cart abandonment, combined with high return rates and the ever-rising costs of digital marketing, is one of the biggest challenges facing eCommerce and D2C brands today. For many, it means stalled growth, shrinking margins and frustrated customers.

GoKwik wants to fix that.

Founded in 2020 by Chirag Taneja, Vivek Bajpai, and Ankush Talwar, during the pandemic-driven global boom in online shopping, the Delhi-based startup is on a mission to make online shopping faster, smarter and far more profitable for merchants. And it’s clearly onto something. Today, over 12,000 brands now use GoKwik to solve some of the most persistent friction points in the checkout funnel.

On the heels of that momentum, the company has just raised $13 million in a growth round led by RTP Global, with participation from Z47, Peak XV Partners and Think Investments.

“We’ve backed GoKwik since 2021 and have consistently been impressed by the team’s clarity of vision and execution,” said Galina Chifina, Partner and CEO at RTP Global. “Chirag, Ankush and Vivek have built an outstanding team with a clear sense of purpose and a deep understanding of what brands need to succeed in an AI-first world.”

Checkout, conversions, and customer retention – all in one stack

GoKwik’s platform tackles eCommerce inefficiencies head-on. From anonymous website visitors to abandoned carts, it offers modular products that plug directly into popular CRM and storefront platforms like WooCommerce, Magento and Salesforce.

These solutions include:

  • KwikEngage: A solution to attract, engage and support customers with smart WhatsApp outreach, in order to tackle low customer engagement and a lack of repeat purchases.
  • Kwikpass: Used to deploy marketing pop-ups and phone-first logins to identify customers for future reengagement and retargeting. The result? Anonymous website visitors are more likely to be converted into customers.
  • KwikCheckout: A simplified checkout offering designed to speed up every step of the process and incorporate strategically placed discounts to increase Average Order Value (AOV).

And that’s just part of the suite.

From India to the world

After securing a strong base in India, GoKwik is going global. Last year, it acquired Returns Prime – a returns management platform with over 2,500 brands from 50 countries in its customer base – to expand its capabilities.

The startup has also hit the ground running in Europe. Within just six months of launching KwikEngage in the UK, it signed up 100+ D2C brands including Levi’s, Jacques of London and Blaupunkt.

Now, with fresh capital in hand, GoKwik is gearing up for the next leg of its expansion. It plans to launch in Germany, France, Italy, and the Netherlands and double down on R&D to further enhance its AI-first commerce stack.

For GoKwik, the mission is clear: create seamless, data-driven shopping experiences that convert. And for global brands, that could mean fewer abandoned carts and more reasons to check out.

We are proud to support GoKwik on its journey, and can’t wait to see what growth this new funding unlocks for the company.
