1.What expertise do you bring to the founders you engage with?
I have worked in the operations and product areas in some early-late stage start-ups like Revolut and Uber. I can completely relate to the challenges startups face early on, and despite not being an operator now, I am more than happy to roll up my sleeves and help where needed.
2.What market leading start-up do you most admire?
Revolut. I joined them when they were just 300 odd people in 2018 and I have seen them grow from a $1.7B company to $33B. It has been fascinating to see and be part of their journey despite all the challenges that came their way.
3.What qualities do you most admire in other people?
Being able to make right decisions, even if the decision is difficult and unpopular. To stick with what you believe and know is right without any support is a very hard thing to do.
4.What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not working?
Writing! At one point I used to be among the 100 most followed people globally on Quora.
5.What’s your greatest life achievement so far?
Being able to pivot my career. I did my masters in Geology at IIT Roorkee and realised it’s not my cup of tea. To be able to move on from it after spending 5 years was a tough decision and one of the best ones I have taken.
