VK joined RTP Global in 2021. He is an associate based in London, focusing on mainly European investments.
Before becoming a VC, VK worked in London-based tech startups and as an investment banker.
VK holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics & Management from the University of Oxford.
Outside of the office VK can be found in a rehearsal studio playing the drums, in a spin class, or chasing down pub/restaurant recommendations. He’s also an amateur clay potter, but recognises that there’s room for improvement.
What’s the best piece of business advice you have ever been given?
Stay hungry, stay foolish.
What’s the biggest business risk you’ve ever taken? Did it pay off?
Starting a business. It wasn’t a spectacular success, but it paid off because I learnt a tremendous amount and I found my calling in venture capital; my first job in venture was working for one of the VCs I had pitched!
What qualities do you most admire in other people?
Tenacity – as others put it, persistence beats resistance.
Industry – genius is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration.
Passion – it’s incredibly inspiring to work with people who care deeply about what they do.
