Babu is RTP Global’s People and HR Practice Leader, working out of the firm’s office in Bangalore. He provides support to RTP’s portfolio companies, advising them on their HR strategies and organizational structures, as well as offering practical solutions to help leaders manage and nurture talent, improve employee experiences and compensate executives.

Prior to joining RTP Global, Babu was part of the leadership team at Ula, a B2B e-commerce startup. Here, he helped the company scale from 10 to 700+ employees and set up the end-to-end people experience strategy. Throughout his career, Babu has experienced three billion dollar journeys, holding senior HR roles at Flipkart, edtech unicorn Vedantu, and e-commerce unicorn Shopclues. In each of these companies, he played a central role in setting up and managing the People function and processes.

Babu studied HR Management and Services at the prestigious management school XLRI and he also studied design thinking at Stanford University. Outside of his day-to-day job, Babu actively works towards transforming rural education, having co-founded the Yugen Education Foundation – a social enterprise aimed at improving quality in education through teacher transformation.
