Smita is part of the Finance team at RTP Global and manages finance, tax and compliance for the RTP Group for SEA, India and MENA regions. She also works with the investment team to provide portfolio support where she works closely with the Founders in the India and SEA on legal, tax and structuring matters.

Prior to joining RTP Global, she worked as a Partner in a law firm where she had set up a successful tax structuring and deals practice. She has also previously worked in tax and regulatory practice of EY, PwC and was Tax head for Allstate India. Smita has over two decades of experience in leading notable reported M&A deals, tax litigations, corporate / personal taxation, structuring, transfer pricing and regulatory. She has extensively worked across all sectors including large VC funds and start-ups.

Smita is a Chartered Accountant with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Commerce Graduate.
