Nishit joined RTP in Jan’22 as Partner in the Bangalore office, focusing on India investments. He has a deep operating experience in consumer internet & commerce as he spent 8+ years at Flipkart managing multiple businesses. He has also worked with Tiger Global for 2 years focusing on the Indian market. Prior to that, he also had a brief stint in consulting with Deloitte and an operations stint with ITC Ltd in India.
He holds an MBA from IIM Bangalore and Bachelors in Technology from IIT Delhi.
Nishit has a great interest in badminton, cricket, movies and wildlife.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of the job you do?
Being at the forefront of ideas that will shape the world, it’s exhilarating at the same time a humbling experience as you see smart and passionate individuals create immense value.
What’s the most challenging aspect of the job you do?
Saying no to founders for something they are passionately investing valuable time & resources of their life. Founder’s disappointment in the conversation is always visible and I sincerely hope their zeal remains indomitable and they build something valuable against all the odds

Self-awareness, intellectual honesty, and humility to build trusting relationships
If you could tell a budding entrepreneur three bits of wisdom what would they be?
– Hire great people, being the smartest person in the room is of no value as a founder, having the smartest team in your room is of utmost value
– Customer, customer, customer: the obsession should never die down across the company
– Be self-aware; try new things and have the awareness to realize what’s not working, fail fast and move on
